Technology in my classroom is very limited! My 23 students have one outdated computer and one fairly new computer to share.
Have you ever had difficulty with reading skills?
Many children in my classroom are struggling readers and would benefit greatly from incorporated technology. About half of the students have computers at home, while the other half do not. Adding an educational tablet would open a whole new world of learning for my students.
My Project
Having an educational tablet in my classroom will provide my students with a highly engaging learning tool that will help meet the needs of my low achieving students as well as the high-achieving students who are ready to learn higher level skills.
I have implemented the Daily 5 which allows the student to go to a listening center and listen to a story based on their reading level. Listening to someone read to them will increase their vocabulary and improve their reading and writing. You can help my class become fluent readers!
