This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your early childhood years? This is an age of exploration and excitement! My Pre-K students would love to have more arts and crafts materials to do art projects, a listening center, and white board markers to write with.

My Pre-K class is comprised of 36 students.

It is split into a morning class and an afternoon class. Our school is a Title 1 school, and most of my students live in a low income area and the majority of them live in non-English speaking households. They are all very eager to learn and at this age love school! Some of them are quick to learn new material, but some seem to be struggling in mastering basic skills.

My Project

My Pre-K students are learning how to write letters and numbers. The white board markers would be used to trace on a trace and wipe book so that they can practice the proper formation of their letters and numbers. The giant ink pads would be used for art projects using their handprints, and the googly eyes would be used throughout the year on the many arts and crafts projects that are done in the classroom. Also, the listening center would be used to hold the books that they are being read to in class so that they can hear them read aloud during independent time.

The materials I am asking for will help my students do many arts projects throughout the year.

The markers will help the students with their writing skills, and the listening center will help the students keep the books and cords all in one handy place.
