My students need basic supplies such as paper, chart paper, pencils, lamination, dry erase markers, highlighters and books for independent project based learning activities.
Our school year is well under way. I have the pleasure of teaching wonderful students. During reading we switch classes, so I receive additional students. Each child has their own special story. I teach in a high poverty school, but each child gives their all each day.
My classroom is a safe place full of love to come to and disappear in learning from 7:45-3:45 each day.
We are an extended day school to provide more opportunities for our students.
My Project
In the course of the school day I try to provide opportunities for the students to apply the lessons they have learned. In doing this day after day the original supplies that we receive at the beginning of the year have been used up. Paper, chart paper, pencils, lamination, dry erase markers, highlighters and books are used to spark the imagination are used and replacements are needed.
The students in my class are unable monetarily to replace the supplies throughout the year.
The supplies asked for in this project provide the opportunities needed for the students to grow on a daily basis. We have larger class sizes this year so we are going through the supplies faster the expected. Thank you for your time and consideration.
