Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items are necessary for the sport of wrestling because it helps them protect them in practice and competition. They can't be successful without knee pads and headgear due to headgear being a necessary item for them to use in competition. The kneepads are critical due to many knee injuries and overuse of utilizing their knees in the sport. The goal for this project is to get these items for my team as we have grown this team from less than 5 student-athlete to a roster of 40 plus and made the playoffs for the first time in program history a season ago. These student-athletes are young and hungry to learn, but need the necessary equipment to stay safe in the sport of wrestling.
