it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hardworking individuals, and they constantly want to please. They deserve to have the opportunity to receive all the help that is available to them. They come from a rough neighborhood surrounded by high poverty and crime. Despite their hardships, they rarely miss a day of school.
My students come from low-income households, and they don't have much at home to offer to the school when it comes to supplies.
Many times, they come to school hungry and in need of hygiene supplies. We provide free breakfast and lunch to all children. What they do have to provide are big hearts and brains ready to be filled with new and exciting information.
My Project
As we are approaching an opening day to go back into the classroom, some necessary material are needed for safety. We are in need of a face shield for the teacher to be protected as she is all around the class teaching her young children. We are also in need of some masks to protect us against the many germs. Because children are not able to share material, they will need to have their own scissors. We are always using the computer for printing homework, assessment data, photos, and other projects. We are always in need of ink and also Post Its. Any support you can provide us with this project would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
