Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have enjoyed learning through the Nearpod platform. Each year my project gets funded through DonorsChoose through the great donors. Nearpod is a fantastic tool that allows everything to be in one place. I can embed lessons, websites, games, and other activities and I have seen a huge increase in the level of engagement with students with the multiple engaging activities and lessons offered in the Nearpod platform.
My students get motivated to learn through the Time to Climb, drawing tools, virtual field trips, drop-down activities, and collaborative boards that are embedded in Nearpod.
The drop-down activities and collaboration boards are aligned with the NGSS and prepare my students to take the State Tests, helping my students do better in my classroom and on the Tests.
Scores of my students have improved through the various assessment activities that can be embedded in Nearpod. They can get immediate feedback through the detailed reports and graphs of their submitted work.
