This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My ICT classroom is a wonderful mix of students from different backgrounds with various academic and socio-emotional needs. Our students work hard and love to learn.
Our incoming ninth graders are particularly special this year, since for many it will be the first in person classroom they have seen for over a year.
My Project
I am requesting a yearly subscription to Nearpod to provide my students a learning experience that supports their individual needs. Nearpod is a digital platform that allows teachers to differentiate content, activities and assessments for varied learners. It is particularly useful in my ICT classroom where my students have a wide variety of needs. Nearpod allows my students to access the content using multiple entry points.
Students will benefit from Nearpod at home and in the classroom, in the form of interactive lessons, real time assessments and learning games.
Students can show mastery of skills through assessments and it allows us to have engaging discussion in both the in person and digital classrooms.
