My Project
These compasses will help our students learn to navigate the world around them. North Idaho is a special place filled with mountains, lakes, rivers, and rugged wilderness. Outdoor recreation is a very big part of our lives. Learning to navigate using a map and compass is an important life skill and gives the student a feeling of confidence and independence. In my Outdoor Education class I will also teach the students about the science that makes them work. This will include Geology, magnetism, the Earths structure, and its magnetic field.
