My Project

Nature has proven to be a calming effect on most people. While I really want real trees to plant in our outdoor classroom. I'm trying to add natural calming elements to my classroom where students can find inner peace. I am requesting a flowering banana tree, plier sets, water hose and more to add nature in the classroom. This natural area within the classroom can be used for personal reflection, a quiet work area, or a social area to communicate with peers. Environments that are sterile create cortisol and stress, whereas areas that mimic or have real nature produce oxytocin which is a chemical in the brain that promotes brain growth and health.
