Help me give my students nature in the classroom! My students love to integrate items from nature--rocks, gems, and shells--in their creative play.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and imaginative. They learn through hands-on play. Since most of our toys are plastic, I want to give them items from nature to explore as well. Rocks, gems, and shells are ideal for them in integrate into their creative free play. They get so excited with small items that they can manipulate into their imaginative creations and worlds. They can add the pieces of nature into their block play or magnatile play. They can sort, sketch, measure, make patterns, and do an unlimited amount of amazing creative activities with these small items from nature!
