Naturally Kinder Centers

Help me give my students new wooden blocks, 100 chart, letters, numbers, cut out wooden pieces, magnifying blocks, rocks, and mason jars to help boost our centers.

My Students

My 19 students are so energetic, creative, and ready to learn. Our students are very diverse in their learning styles and backgrounds. We are in a high poverty urban area. Many of my students come from single parent homes where the parent is often working 2 or more jobs to make ends meet. Despite challenges that are beyond of their control, my students come to school with that "ready to learn something new" attitude. My job as their teacher is to keep the momentum and love for learning growing and to give them a positive learning environment.

My Project

We will use wooden blocks, 100charts, cut outs, magnifying blocks, table number holders, and rocks to help give our centers a natural boost. We will use the mason jars to store the small materials.

What kiddo doesn't love to bring rocks and other parts of nature inside.

Our classroom is taking is taking a more natural route to bring some nature into our learning centers. Now they will have it handed right to them with ease. Many of the low income students do not have a chance to explore the outdoors. We are currently trying to incorporate supplies to our classroom to add interest to the natural world we live in. I will use these materials to turn into fun activities to help give more variety to the manipulatives we already have.
