Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We introduced our students a few years ago to the National History Day Program and our school now hosts the Charter School Regional for the state of Colorado. One area we have consistently struggled in is our exhibit board designs. Finding fonts and matting and enhancements has become increasingly harder as fewer and fewer students have access to printing or the personal finances to buy premade items.

Creative exhibits encourage judges to really look into what the students have researched and are presenting.

We are hoping that by purchasing a Cricut and accompanying materials, we will be able to help our students with the design, layout and overall presentation of their boards and give them a better chance at placing in the regional, state, and national competitions.
