My Students
Second grade is a time where you can still divulge in fun activities for kids yet begin having deeper and higher-order conversations in the classroom. My students are a creative group that love collaboration and whole-class discussions.
Our classroom has a strong sense of community and inclusion.
All students' voices are heard and recognized in the classroom, and we encourage each other to go deeper and question "why."
My Project
My students love to have their supplies easily at hand. It minimizes distractions and maximizes learning time! With the Lakeshore nameplates students will be able to know exactly where they are to sit and have a pencil and eraser easily accessible. Nameplates will also make switching classroom seating a breeze, as I feel it is great to consistently move seats so all students get to know each other!
In addition, our school has a huge push towards social emotional learning.
The social emotional learning journal for grades 1-2 will be a great addition to our already fantastic social emotional learning curriculum!
