This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to be teaching a wonderful group of third graders. They are very bright and eager to learn. The majority are English Language Learners who come from low-economic backgrounds.
My students are very lucky to have a different teacher for Physical Education and Music. Because these teachers see about 600 students a week, they ask that our students bring name tags when they come to class. The problem is that it can be very time consuming and expensive to make their name tags every week.
Another problem we also face is the lack of privacy when they take the millions of quizzes and tests that our district demands. I have made their own desk partitions for privacy out of cardboard but they are torn and old.
There are two things I would love to have in order to solve this problem; privacy partitions, and safety name labels. With these two items my classroom would run much smoother. The kids would have their name tags ready to go without having to make new ones and waste time and money. And when taking a test, they would have a partition to provide them the privacy they need.
The privacy partitions and the safety name tags are two things that would definitely make my classroom better. We will be able to reuse both of these items throughout the year without having to worry about wasting precious time and money.
Thank you for making a difference in education. Your help will have a great impact in my class and will make it possible to transition from one activity to another with ease.
