My Students

My loves are students in grades 1-5 in a large urban district. They work hard and play hard all day through circumstances they would challenge most adults. They are strong and resilient! Everyday they are learning that they can be anything with hard work and a positive attitude. My school is focused on providing these amazing kids with enrichment opportunities. We offer clubs to all students. I lead the Yoga Club. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn to manage and overcome the stress that is part of life!

My Project

At our school we believe in developing the WHOLE CHILD. One of the ways we accomplish this important work is with our enrichment clubs. The votes are in and kids at our school want to experience yoga. What a great idea! Managing stress is such an important part of overall success and happiness! Starting early? Even better! Having yoga mats is essential to a successful yoga club. Yoga helps kids to be calm and focused. That calm and focus will translate into more interest in all subject areas. How great is that? Now it's your turn to make this incredible club reality. Thank you!
