My Students

In our STEM classes, we work with the engineering design process to explore design and modeling, as well as computer science skills. My students need to develop these skills to be successful in high school math and science courses.

Students in STEM learn perseverance and problem-solving skills.

My middle school students are learning to collaborate with others; they are learning to build on each other's strengths, and strengthen each other's weaknesses. These are such important skills for higher education and the workplace!

My Project

In our STEM classes, we work with the engineering design process to explore design and modeling, as well as computer science skills and inquiry skills. My students need to develop these skills to be successful in high school math and science courses.

Students in STEM learn perseverance and problem-solving skills.

We will be using the materials to complete the design process, by building models and seeing their designs come to fruition. They will do this with the items such as glue sticks/guns and motors for their projects. The forensic materials will be used to explore another STEM area, as students will be using their inquiry skills to solve a forensic mystery. This is all messy work, and students will be using shop vacs to keep the classroom areas safe and clean during their projects. These materials will help make the STEM classroom exciting and engaging.
