My Project
I am so looking forward to meeting my first class of students this upcoming school year. As a first-year teacher, I am dedicated to building community with and between my students.
Having a place to gather as a whole group is vital in developing a classroom community.
This carpet will facilitate morning meetings, read alouds, and other whole group activities. Additionally, its design provides clear spaces for individual students within the group. This ensures that all students feel welcome and included.
In building classroom community, it is equally important that each student has access to designated organizational spaces. This encourages students to take responsibility for the management of their own belongings, while also encouraging students to take collective responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of their classroom community.
