My Project
I’m always looking for engaging and meaningful ways to bring the Spanish language and culture to life for my students. This year, I’m excited to bring a very special resource into my 6th-grade classroom—the book La Familia de Federico Rico.
This book is not only fun and humorous, but it’s also an incredibly effective tool for helping students learn and review essential Spanish vocabulary.
Told through entertaining and relatable characters, La Familia de Federico Rico captures students’ attention and keeps them engaged while reinforcing language skills in a memorable way.
My goal is to provide each student with access to this book so we can read it together in class and use it as a springboard for creative activities: skits, drawing family trees, vocabulary games, and cultural discussions. I’ve found that when students laugh, connect, and enjoy what they’re reading, their confidence in using the language grows—and so does their love for learning.
