My Project

The importance of being able to use crayons that match your skin color is so empowering to students. In our classroom, 80% of the students are stunts of color. When we do art projects and they are coloring pictures to make them look like themselves, regular crayons just don't have all the skin colors represented.

These students will feel that they matter too if they have crayons that match their own skin color.

Seeing the light in their eyes when they are able to use these kinds of materials warms the heart of all round them.
