Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A Cricut Machine will allow my students to create posters, signs and bulletin boards that are as diverse as they are. This helps students find confidence in their academic journey and creates an environment in which students are more willing to accept challenges, make mistakes, reflect on what they did, and try again.
My students are looking forward to starting a full year of learning that feels like normal.
For the past few years, my students have been either learning from home, coming to school on alternate days, restricted to their desk, confined to their classroom all day, or worst, not learning at all due to COVID school closings. The upcoming school year will be the first sense of normalcy that these children have had in three years.
My students deserve a learning environment that is as diverse, unique, special and beautiful as they are.
