it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am reaching out with a heartfelt request to support the amazing students in my 3rd and 4th grade ASD cluster. These students are incredibly unique and full of potential, but they often need specific resources to help them stay engaged and thrive in the classroom. As their teacher, I am constantly looking for ways to make their learning experience more meaningful, comfortable, and fun.
One of the things I love most about my students is their resilience.
Every day, they show up with determination and a desire to learn. However, as you can imagine, they often need a little extra help in staying focused and engaged. This is where the resources I’m requesting come into play.
Fidget Toys: These simple tools can make a world of difference in helping my students regulate their sensory needs. Fidget toys provide them with the tactile feedback they need to stay grounded, reduce anxiety, and maintain focus during lessons.
Laminator: Having a laminator in the classroom will allow me to create durable, interactive materials that my students can use repeatedly. It will help me design visual aids, schedules, and learning resources that are easy to clean, re-use, and modify as their needs evolve.
Headphones: Many of my students benefit from listening to instructions or educational content in a quiet and individualized setting. With the help of headphones, I can ensure that they are able to fully absorb the material without distractions from the classroom environment.
Crayons: Creative expression is essential for students with ASD. Crayons allow my students to explore their emotions, reinforce learning, and communicate through art.
