My Students Love Science!

My students need science supplies like magnets, binoculars and magnifiers. I want to make science FUN for my kindergarten students.

My Students

Sitting at a desk is boring! My students learn through hand on exploration in our student driven, center oriented classroom. It's my role to provide exciting tools for them to find interesting, challenging, and fun.

My students are economically disadvantaged, hard working, fun loving, dual language learners.

They come to kindergarten with little English and thrive in an environment where they are always interacting with their peers. Speaking and listening are integral to learning a new language, so it is encouraged in our class.

My Project

In science, I introduce a lesson on Monday, and then place a fun experiment into the science center for the children to explore during the week. Of course I am always around during center time to help or encourage if they need me, or stand back and watch if they don't. This has become a favorite center. I am requesting child sized binoculars, magnifying lenses, a lady bug observation kit, and magnets. We will have lots of new things to explore and discover.

This project will help my students love science.

I am teaching children at a very young age how fun science can be. Who knows, maybe one of these students will further their education in a science field because of me and the generous donation of a donor like you!
