This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from varied backgrounds. Some of my students have the opportunity to see the world around them and visit many new and exciting places, while some of my students have not traveled outside of our town. No matter what their background, all of my students LOVE learning, LOVE school, and LOVE each other. My classroom is filled with future doctors, teachers, lawyers, and world changers. They are AMAZING and I want to do anything I can to introduce them to more and more!

My Project

I feel completely blessed to teach my first grade students. While I try to provide a learning environment that is beneficial for all my students, students' needs in my classroom vary greatly.

Students' needs are all very different and how they learn is also very different.

We recently did a poll on what they wanted for this year for fitness and they requested an IPAD to project their lively tunes and Zumba videos. By giving them the choice in what kind of learning and fitness works best for them, and help them to work collaboratively, they will communicate and engage in critical thinking. They were very excited that this year they selected their choice of fitness.

Providing students with resources to allow them to move while learning, will greatly impact their success with learning. The iPad will serve very well because we can use the iPad to project our Zumba videos to the projector, as well as use it to showcase our music. In addition, the iPad has many apps that can help with Fitness and movement. Please help reach our goal.
