This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from low-income areas and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders, and other essential supplies for school.
The teachers at our school are mentors to the children.
We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.
I am requesting gift cards to help my students as incentives and motivation to create their impact projects for My Sister's Keeper to be showcased at their monthly meetings. A gift card will motivate students to be independent in creating their own unique style to showcase at their meetings with the District's My Sister's Keeper meetings. The positive feedback with the community will definitely provide support and motivation to do their best and be confident in their skills.
