Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very bright but they need to be inspired and encouraged for their creativity to come out.
I teach second grade and all my students receive free breakfast and lunch since they come from a high poverty neighborhood. In my classroom we have very little resources. Most of the things that we have are very old, including our 2 computers that barely work.
Since it would be too much to ask for new computers, one of the things that I am working on is our classroom library. The only furniture that we have in our library is an old gym tumbler that we use as a couch.
What I am asking for is a classroom sofa that also serves as a book cubby so that we can have a comfortable place to sit and save valuable space for storing our books.
