This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 22 wonderfully diverse students in my class this year speaking six different languages. I teach at a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Magnet school.
My students are hard-working, sweet students that come to school ready to learn.
They are excited about learning, excited about their friends and excited about the world around them.
My Project
Since we will still be wearing mask in the classroom and safety around germs is of the utmost importance, I am requesting individual writing and coloring supplies for each of my students.
Most years, a shared supply caddy at their table was enough, now coming back and keeping safety in mind, I want my students to have their own individual supplies of all writing and drawing materials.
I would like my students to have their own set of crayons, colored pencils, journals, watercolors, and markers to lessen the spread of germs in the classroom. Keeping my students safe is very important to me.
More than half of students from low‑income households
