Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For 15 years, I have taught in schools with students from low-income households. It a source of great professional fulfillment for me. I witnessed daily triumphs and joys that more than offset the particular difficulties that each of my students face on a daily basis. My school is a 95% Hispanic population, and a low social economic school. My school does very good on STAAR even if it’s a low income school. My student have had great success in STAAR algebra and 8th grade Math but this year I am looking for ways to help do better in life and in STAAR.
My Project
Having the laptop and the IPad it will help me use more technology in the classroom. It will help me project to my students about real-life events were you use mathematics, show them pictures and work places where technology and math come together. It will give me more flexibility to move around and interact with my students. I will use it for power points, notes, calculator download projection. It will be great usage for my classroom and it will make my classroom environment great. Having an IPad and laptop will help my struggling students work independently on anything that they need help in class.
