My learning in MY space!

Help me give my students more freedom to make decisions about their learning environment. A choice of their learning space during independent and group work, they are more engaged, collaborate more openly, and show greater learning outcomes.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Kam's classroom raised $793

My Students

My students attend a public school where they are supported and valued regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds, experiences, and cultural differences. My students participate in a dual-language immersion program, where they show eagerness to learn a second language, engage and socialize with their peers in both languages. They show great effort and dedication to their education and value their learning. Our school is part of the Title I program, which means that at least 65% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch due to low income.

They enjoy hands-on activities and love having the freedom to move about the classroom and learn where they are most comfortable.

In order to continue to foster a love of lifelong learning, students at a young age need to constantly be challenged and encouraged to learn new things in a fun and exciting way.

My Project

Students take charge of their own learning and make the choices that work best for them. Allowing students to choose their learning space during independent and group work, they are more engaged, collaborate more openly, and show greater learning outcomes.

Having flexible seating options and a peaceful, inviting atmosphere to learn in will help my students develop ownership in our school and in their learning.

I want to promote a classroom culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation and independence. Being able to choose their own learning space, and move around the room as needed will help my students develop self-confidence and ownership in their learning.

The products that I have chosen will provide my students by giving them more freedom to choose to have their learning happened.

Thank you so much for helping me to create a NEW independent environment for my students!
