My Project

I have a small kitchen area in my classroom, and after a field trip to a local Children's Museum, I was able to see the importance of providing an environment where they can learn life skills, social skills and another opportunity to learn through play that they are not able to get from home.

I would like to build a small stand to go with my kitchen area and create a variety of restaurants, shops and a farmers market in which the students can engage in specific play, to learn life and social skills.

I would like to be able to switch out the area with a variety of themes, to provide more directed play. Having a variety of areas provides the student to learn what is needed to be at a job and how to be a kind and patient customer.
