Busy, Busy, Busy is the way to describe a day in my 2nd grade classroom. We are continuously on the move from one topic to the next. I would love for my students to be able to reach out into the world from inside the classroom. The biggest challenge is providing them with the technology to do so.
My school is a melting pot of all types of children.
We have a great group of children. Our school represents literacy at its finest. The second graders are eager to learn and get their hands on as much information as they can. A very inquisitive group!
My Project
I am requesting mini ipads which will allow students to access the Internet to delve deeper into the text they are reading. We will use the ipads to scan QR codes which will lead them to a song, game, test, video, or research based on the assignment at hand.
With enough donations, I will be able to begin my journey into the digital age.
The students will be provided with the technology our country is requiring students to be able to use in an educational manner. Sadly, our state cannot provide us with the resources to do this so I must do something about this for their sakes. It will make our classroom more interactive and more exciting.
More than half of students from low‑income households
