Hi there,
I am a second grade teacher in the Bronx. As you can imagine my classroom has some pretty outdated bookshelves. In my classroom, there is a general reading library where all my books are categorized by different topics. Then there is the independent reading center where children pick leveled books that they read for the week. During a class lesson last week, the bookshelf that my independent reading center was on broke apart. Of course this was bound to happen since this piece of furniture had been in the school for many many years. I am kindly requesting a bookshelf where I can place the independent reading center so my students can have easy access to choose books and can continue to benefit from this experience.
