My First Tools for Learning At Home

My Students

My preschoolers will come to our virtual classroom knowing that they will be encouraged and supported everyday with materials to help them create a learning space at home.

For my preschoolers, many of them are attending school for the first time and it's virtually.

Some of my preschoolers are shy, some are outgoing, but they are all energetic about learning about the world around them. Many of my students come from challenging homes and neighborhoods. Our inclusive preschool classroom consists of 33% of diverse learner and 67% of general education students with English Language Learners. 92% of our families are low income and many have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.

In my virtual classroom my students get a chance to focus on themselves and understand they are learning. They feel safe, supported, and motived to learn! The donated tools and manipulatives will help them with their learning online.

My Project

The wipe boards, journals and writing tools will be used daily to help my preschoolers develop fine motor skills and begin writing and forming letters and numbers. They will use their personal set of math counters to sort by colors and count together virtually. And the art materials will be used to create wonderful art pieces connected to our units of study.

By donating to our project, you will not only provide my first time learners with tools to help them learn from home, you will also give them the valuable experience of feeling connected to school.
