My Project
The students in my class are special due to their diverse backgrounds, talents, and strengths. My goal for this project is to allow students to showcase their creativity and artistic abilities while integrating the arts with our social studies standards. Through this art show, I hope to explore the diverse talents of our students and promote self-expression and appreciation within our school community.
The two standards we are using in our art show are as follows:
SS1G3 Locate major topographical features of the earth’s surface, and VA1.PR.1 Participate in an appropriate display of works of art to develop identity of self as artist.
Students will create a series of artworks inspired by different landscapes, incorporating geography, creativity, and self-expression. We will open our classroom to parents and guardians to allow them to come and see how their students express themselves.
