This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are students who have just arrived to the United States and are not too familiar with NYC. Students are working on understanding their journeys as newly arrived immigrant to the United States and how they can succeed in America. They are discussing how their community of the Bronx, NY can help them achieve the American dream, or how it may not. They are searching for the best resources to understand their place in their community, where they belong, and how much of an impact others have in your success as an immigrant.
