My Project
With a class subscription to Scholastic Magazine: My Big World with Clifford™ and Science Spin, my Head Start students will be able have a rich experience learning to read nonfiction through Scholastic Magazine and Science Spin.The magazines can be taken home when we are finished with them and students can share what they learned with their parents.
Every month students will get two magazines that tie into the season and teaches us about things near and far.
They will love seeing the amazing pictures and learning about things happening around them.
The videos that go with each lesson are right on target with a pre-k students level of thinking. They teach nonfiction topics in ways four and five year old's understand using short interesting videos many times incorporating kids their age. I love that all of the resources that come with the My Big World Subscription show diversity in culture and physical abilities, celebrating them, so that all students feel included in what they are learning about.
