My students are a very special group of kids. We are a very small school with less than 50 students per grade level. Most of these kids have been together since kindergarten and will promote from 8th grade together. Our school is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, which means some of our student body are second generation families. The small community feel of our campus makes it so special.
Students at Canyon are what makes our campus so amazing.
Every teacher knows every student and we all take the time to take care of each other. We are blessed to serve a medically fragile community of students who we see as the heart of Canyon. Our student body has such compassion for these students and we do our absolute best to have them involved in everything we do here at Canyon.
My Project
Students at my campus are in need of basic clothing materials such as underwear, socks, and under garment shirts. These items must be given to students in new packaging. We do our best to not turn away any student that comes to us with basic life essential needs. Our campus reaches out to a large group of students who struggle to have their basic needs met, and this is where our loving staff comes in.
Every child deserves to have clean clothing.
These items help boost a students' confidence resulting in a much better performance at school. We never want our students to feel out of place or isolated simply because of the clothing they wear. We are striving to meet all of their basic needs.
