I teach Art to 9th - 12th graders. I offer multiple levels of Art, ranging from Art 1 - AP Art. While we have great talent, we are lacking in basic furniture.
The little money that we get for our art classroom goes directly to consumable supplies. This leaves us nothing for large purchases like furniture. We have asked for help from our board of education, but we were told there is no money for us. The few stools we do have are old, broken and beyond repair.
It's difficult to learn when you are rocking back and forth on an old, broken stool. It's even more difficult when you are standing for an hour and a half.
New stools for our classroom would allow my artists to work without distraction and in comfort.
Your help will give my students something people expect when they enter a classroom, a place to sit. We have amazing artistic talent at our school, please help us with a classroom essential.
