My Students
Our students are some of the most caring, tenacious and hard-working individuals you will ever meet. Their drive and love of education is something that is so enjoyable to interact with on a daily basis. One of the joys of working with our students is how much they enjoy music and want to develop skills of playing musical instruments to help them develop other academic skills. By supporting our students, not only are you supporting them in the present, but for years and perhaps generations to come.
My Project
Our brass players are in need of some new mutes to help them develop advanced skills on their instruments and dive into different genres of music effectively and authentically. With the more advanced our players are becoming as well as the various genres and cultures of music, we are needing to support the authenticity of developing skills in those genres through the use of different equipment, in this case mutes. Mutes are used to give brass instruments various timbres (sound qualities) that are indicative of various genres of music. Without this piece of equipment, students will not be able to get the full effect of the style of music.
