My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

I am requesting pens, pencils, lotions, lip balms, and decorative folders for our classroom store. All of these items will be used in our classroom store; all of these items are popular materials that fly off the shelf.

We have a classroom economy where students earn Mustang Bucks that they use as currency to purchase items from our Mustang Store.

Having a classroom store/economy helps students learn financial literacy. Students learn to budget, make change, and plan for bigger purchases. Students love to purchase items from our store so they show good behavior and citizenship so they can earn classroom bucks.
