Mustang Murray's Magnanimous Market: Part 2

My students need personal care and hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant to help them maintain good hygiene and health practices.

My Students

Many students struggle with maintaining good personal hygiene due to lack of personal care items. We are working together to start a "market" in which students can "shop" confidentially for free necessities. These donations will be the first to stock our shelves.

Our school is located in the second largest urban school district in the state.

The majority of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Most students have one parent homes or both parents working to make ends meet. This inner city school, is for many of them, the most constant that they have in their lives. Our school is filled with students from grades Pre-K through 8.

My Project

Using the donations we hope to receive from this project, a team a teachers will be working together to create a market where students care "shop" for personal care basics discretely with dignity. All items in the market will be free of cost, and any student requesting items will be able to shop confidentially. Our primary goal is keeping the students healthy, and having these personal care items available to them will surely help!

Many of the students in our school will benefit from the personal care items provided to them with this project.

Overall, this project will help build a stronger sense of community in our school.
