Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m a first-year teacher fresh out of college, diving headfirst into teaching 4th grade math and science. I work at a Title I school with amazing students, most of whom come from minority backgrounds and bring unique cultures, strengths, and stories into the classroom.

These materials will transform my classroom into a more engaging, organized, and student-centered space.

A printer will allow me to create visuals and resources. A laminator will preserve these materials, helping me reuse them for years to come. The stools and utility cart will create a more functional small-group area where students can collaborate. Finally, the stickers will be used as positive reinforcement to encourage effort and celebrate student growth. My goal is to build a space that is welcoming and supportive for my students.
