My Project

Playing musical instruments in Pre-K can have many outcomes like motor skills. When playing an instrument it requires precise coordination and fine motor skills, such as plucking strings, pressing keys, or striking drums. The Pre-K students can help strengthen their connection between each other sense of hearing and the brain's ability to process sounds. This can improve cognitive performance and carry over into other areas. The Pre-K students will make new friends and gain confidence from their musical endeavors.

When the Pre-K students start playing the drums everyday in the classroom they can instill a sense of commitment and perseverance.

While playing an instrument the Pre-K students can foster creativity. Playing an instrument can enhance phonological awareness, letter recognition, and other early literacy skills. Also playing an instrument can help the Pre-K students with their language development, speech perception, sound processing, and reading skills.
