Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items you see before you include guitar-related items, microphones, and a USB drum pad.

The guitar-related items allow me to incorporate six guitars and two basses into my music technology courses.

The city provided the guitars, but I need to change the strings when they get old or break. The tuners are so that when the students record these instruments, they work with the other instruments on the track. The batteries are to keep the tuners working. I've included a book on guitar scales to give students a road map of what is possible for their creations.

The microphones are for students who want to vocalize on their creations and sing Karaoke, which we like to do on occasion.

Lastly, I have included a drum pad. We have USB keyboards in the classroom, but for drum-specific programming, I would like the opportunity for students to learn how to use a device like this.
