This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I will be starting my third year teaching at this amazing school. When I started here, the school was transitioning from a traditional middle school to an arts academy. I teach instrumental music. Currently I teach four bands and two orchestras. We are a public school that is 4th-8th grade.

Students are focused and driven to excel in the arts as well as academics.

Students begin their journey at an early age and develop their passion for the arts as they progress through the program.

My Project

Providing students with access to a professional quality recording studio will support their creativity as well as feed their need for technology. The goals of this project are simple yet essential.

Students will have access to industry standard recording software and studio equipment they will use to record their own music.

Quality headphones are an important aspect of a quality studio environment. Inferior headphones cause problems with sound "bleeding" into the recording microphone and they break easily. The headphones for this project are industry standard for their durability, amazing sound and will not "bleed."

Students will be able to translate their recording experience attained in middle school to the "real world!"
