Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 28 enthusiastic students who love music. Unfortunately, we do not have the instruments to learn in. My students come from a low socioeconomic background with limited resources and opportunities. We are a Title I School who would benefit from resources that would provide opportunities for exploration and learning.
Dreaming big, hard work, and perseverance are what my students live by.
Many of them, will become the first one in their family to attend college. My mission is to provide them with a nurturing learning environment. The resources funded will serve as tools in expanding their curiosity and developing a passion for music.
My Project
Every student should have the opportunity to play an instrument. Students will be given an opportunity to learn how to use the instrument as well as learn how to read music notes. Our school has no music teacher, nevertheless any instruments. Providing recorder for my students will provide them with an opportunity to learn at home and practice at hope. With practice students will feel confident to perform for other fellow students and family members.
Learning to play music recorders will increase confidence, teach students a new concept, and develop a love for music.
