My Project

Hi! My name is JoEllyn Sumner and I am a music educator. I am moving to a school district that needs to replace and update many of their xylophones and metallophones.

Music makes us smart.

Music makes us kind. Music makes us happy. Music makes us feel. Music makes us empathize. Music makes us think. Music makes us move.

I want all of these "Music makes us" statements for my students. Currently, students are playing on outdated, out of tune instruments, that are falling apart. This makes students feel as though they do not deserve the best - but I know, they do! I want my students to have the best of the best in their hands to play, compose, and improvise with. Please help me purchase new xylophones for my students through this project!
