This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade students are enthusiastic learners that love coming to school! I am focused on them becoming well-rounded lifetime learners and I look forward to teaching them all the exciting aspects involved in learning to read, play, sing, and dance to music! I remember learning to play the piano at a very young age and I look forward to adding this skill to my students' list of achievements! All students need more physical activity added to their daily lives! Thank you in advance for your help in ensuring a wonderfully enriching school year!
My Project
Music truly does make it all better! My students may be unable to afford keyboards but they absolutely love singing and dancing to music! I hope to be able to spark a love of learning to PLAY/READ music in my second graders like my mom did for me when I was little! I cannot wait to teach my students to read music and to play the keyboard! I will begin by teaching them the names of notes and we will use "Brainpopjr" to learn all about other musical instruments as well! Our school year goal will be to throw a class concert for their parents/guardians! Thank you in advance for making this dream come true!
