This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The power of music, of learning to play an instrument, of being exposed to a keyboard piano has been proven to fire up a child's ability to develop their intellectual, emotional, motor and language skills. As a special education teacher, I am always looking for research-based solutions to help my students.
Having this light-up keyboard piano helps me further create a classroom that engages the whole child's mind and body in order to help them advance in their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
The light up keyboard allows them to learn step by step at their own pace. They can pick it up at any time and stop at any moment. There are many days when my students are faced with challenges outside my classroom. I offer my students different options to help with those challenges and keep them focused and/or calm including comfy chairs, rugs, play dough, fidgets, and now I will have a piano. Please consider donating to help further make my classroom a place that cares for the whole child.
