My Students

"It is not about filling the Pail, it is about lighting a fire" (Yeats). Give a student the chance to become great in music as well as be a leader in the Concert Band.

I have an amazing young student leading the percussion section of the band but he is unable to play the snare drum at school consistently because we are borrowing one from an adult.

I want him to grow at the pace I know he can but in order for that to happen he needs an instrument to practice on and use during class.

My Project

The student is the top percussionist in the band and his family has very little extra money to spend. He uses old sticks and does a great job finding a way to practice without an instrument sometimes. He is and will continue to be a great musician, and all he needs is the opportunity to succeed.

This project will give the entire band the instruments needed in the percussion section.

Without the Snare and Snare player the Band is missing a big part of their music. This will be beneficial to everyone to have a complete percussion section.
