Help me give my students recorders so they can learn to play from home.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and curious about the world. They come to school eager, ready to learn and meet challenges head on. Their growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning is contagious, as they inspire me to challenge them and empower them with the skills they need to prepare them for the multi-cultural 21st century. They live in a low-income neighborhood, with a high Hispanic population and to most, English is their second language. One hundred percent of them qualify for free lunch.
My Project
My students need recorders so they can learn to play music virtually. We are fortunate to have a great music teacher who will be able to virtually teach my students how to play different notes and learn songs on a weekly basis.
This music class will help my students' social-emotional well being and will bring joy to them as they learn music with a recorder of their own.
"Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel. If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children's education." - Yo-Yo Ma
